Stressed + not stuck to routine = not much better!

I took a rest from my treatment for a week as my face felt like it was "burning" and was drying out almost as bad as it does when I use prescription creams. So i then decided to start using it once a day. Then i started to occasionally forget to use it and now i have completely fell out of the routine. I've had a lot going on at home and so stress has translated into excessive acne and have decided to get back on the antibiotic i was on earlier this year.  I will keep you posted with my (hopeful) progress as i get back into a more productive and reliable skin care routine!

This is D-Day!

Acne. Most of us get it, we all hate it, and the people who are lucky enough to glide through life without being possessed by the pimple fairy are just plain old too lucky to have a right to exist on this planet. (Don't worry, none of them will need to read this anyway!)

I started to get acne at around the age of 10. For 9 long years i have been at war; fought countless battles and lost them. Set up resistance forces with clearasil, clean and clear, simple, garnier, Body shop products and Lush products. I've even accepted help from one of my allies; The dermatologist, who's offered me the use of their antibiotics and different creams to use twice a day. For a while, I thought I had won. I though The dermatologist had solved it and I was finally free of the evil menace...but then around May this year (2013)  i started to feel it, the odd lump around my chin, the itchiness of the right side of my face, the burning just to the right of my left ear...The enemy was digging in! Believe me, this time, they came well armed.

A few months ago I visited the Thermae spa in Bath and had a facial. (100% recommend!) and soke to the Beauty therapist about my acne. She recommended i use the "Pervonia Problematic skincare" range. She used it as she used to have terrible acne and well, her face was perfect now. I didn't purchase it there and then as we left the spa pretty late and the shop was closed! Over the last few weeks my acne really has got unbearable and painful, so i ordered all the products she recommended I use...

The range of pervonia products i am using (dog not included!)
(Left to right) Clarigel exfoliating cleanser (£30.00), Problematic skin lotion (£23), Spot Treatment (£35), Problematic skin care cream (£42), Purifying skin mask (£26).

Pretty pricey, eh? Well that's why i'm completely committing to this. To ensure i maintain my commitment, i'm keeping this blog/vlog to review and see how/if it works. The reviews I read on the internet were all positive and the knowledge of the experts selling me the product was impressive so i'm going to trust it, try and then say what I think.

Day One

Taken straight after I applied my first treatment. Pretty aggressive and painful acne I've got going on!

Day 2

Some mild improvements, particularly to the right side...

Day 3

The left is really clearing up! Despite the new addition to my forehead!
